On Thursday, November 4, 2021, the 1st Media Futures Summit took place at the FH Upper Austria Campus Hagenberg and we were there! This new series of events takes place in cooperation with the OÖ Nachrichten, ORF OÖ and the Presseclub OÖ and is dedicated to current topics and future trends in digital media.

CALPANA Managing Director Günther Angerbauer, Andreas Stöckl (Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences), Sulejman Ganibegović (Managing Director of Mogree) and Gerhard Kürner (Managing Director of 506.ai) will give the presentation “Raw material media data for Upper Austrian companies“.
This cooperation was established as part of the research project www.crisam.ai – risk management in real time. With CRISAM.AI, artificial intelligence methods are being further developed and applied for risk management in companies. Risks are thus identified in real time and immediately displayed to the risk owner and risk manager. This is exactly where the media data comes into play. With the help of real-time analysis of messages, risks can be identified and assessed even faster.
“Data is the new oil” – this claim has become increasingly true in recent years. Intelligent processing of large data collections from ever new data sources not only forms the basis for new business models, but also serves to optimize and supplement established products and services in almost every sector. The use of data crawling, machine learning, user analytics and much more is creating many new opportunities and challenges for the media industry in particular. These will be the focus of the opening event of the “Media Futures Summit” series of events on the topic of “Deep Data News”, which is being held in cooperation with the OÖNachrichten, ORF OÖ and the Presseclub OÖ.
