CRISAM® for brokers and MGAs
Your clients are putting AI into material decisions faster than the market can price the risk. CRISAM® turns the way a client governs AI into evidence a broker and an MGA underwriter can use.

Exclusions are being added at renewal, often with little notice to the insured. ISO/Verisk generative AI endorsements took effect in January 2026.
Why the market is excluding
There is almost no loss history, and a questionnaire describes the policy, not what actually happens. So carriers exclude AI risk instead of pricing it.
CRISAM® is the connected GRC control plane above a client’s AI systems. It answers these questions from live evidence.
The opportunity
Just as MFA and backups became conditions of cyber cover, evidenced AI governance can become the condition for AI cover.

Questions
There is almost no loss history, and underwriters have little visibility of how a client governs AI: which material decisions it runs, which controls apply and who can stop the system. Without that evidence, the safe answer for a carrier is to exclude.
CRISAM® is the connected GRC control plane that sits above a client’s AI models and systems. For every material AI decision it connects the purpose, dependencies, risks and obligations, controls and thresholds, current evidence, exceptions and the owner with authority to pause or stop it.
The broker can take an evidence pack to market in place of a questionnaire. It shows practice, not only policy, and gives the MGA or carrier a basis to offer affirmative cover, narrower exclusions or better terms.
MGAs underwrite with delegated authority, so they need a clear basis for risk selection. Evidence of how a client governs its material AI decisions gives the MGA underwriter that basis, and supports affirmative AI cover or narrower exclusions instead of a blanket exclusion.
With a conversation with Andrew McIntyre. We look at the client segment or line where AI exposure is growing fastest and at the evidence an underwriter would accept.
Whitepaper series
The Machine Speed Governance series asks how a board stays in control when AI decides faster than any person can follow, and answers it in three steps.
